The WACA (Western Australian Cricket Association Ground) has played host to many sports in the past. It is the home of Western Australian Cricket with International and State Cricket fixtures held annually at the ground. Over the years, the WACA has also played host to Australian Football, Rugby League, Rugby Union & Soccer. The WACA was last redeveloped in 2002 resulting in much improved facilities for both players and spectators. The redevelopment reduced capacity to around 20,000 and decreased the dimensions of the playing arena, meaning Australian Football can no longer be played at the ground. An icon of the WACA is its large six light towers, which stand at 70 metres high and have an average of 138 lights in each of them.
